
The Paris Olympic silver medalist Neera Chopra and German Julian Weber will be in the headline of the high -quality men’s spear in the Paris Diamond League on June 20. The event is formed as one of the most anticipated season competitions that contains a seven -member line -up, which also includes Grenad’s double world champion Anderson Peters.
Neera Chopra returns to the Paris Diamond League after eight years when he last competed at the Charlets Stade in 2017 as a champion of the junior world. On this occasion he ended up at the fifth throw 84.67 meters. Now at the age of 27 and the double Olympic medalist, the Indian athlete focuses on his first main victory of the 2025 season and finished second in two consecutive competitions.

Of the seven throws, only Julian Weber and Anderson Peters have personal bests that go beyond Chopra. Weber holds a lifelong best of 91.44 meters, while Peters threw 93.07 meters. Chopra last joined the exclusive 90 meters of the club with its performance in Doha last month.
Chopra launched its campaign 2025 victory at a smaller invitation meeting in Potchefstroom in South Africa and registered 84.52 meters. Then he reached 16 May in Doha in Doho and created a throw of 90.23 meters to finally break the barrier of 90 meters. Despite success, Chopra finished second behind Julian Weberwho won with a throwing 91.06 meters.

The male spear is expected to be one of the key field events in Paris, with Chopra looking for the first victory in the Diamond League season. With the Olympic qualifying and form on the line with the competition representing Chopra, Weber and Peters, it forms as the main peak of the meeting.
