Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is now a geopolitical topic! Finnish President Alexander Stubb caught the attention of Indians with his candid conversation about Bollywood’s biggest film 2025 with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney while jogging in London’s Hyde Park.
The Finnish president was on an informal jog with Carney and their spouses after their Nordic-Canadian summit in Norway.
On the video X shared, Stubb wrote: “No rink available so a nice morning run in Hyde Park with PM Mark Carney, Diana and Suzanne,” he wrote.
But the run soon piqued the internet’s interest after Carney asked Stubb about his viral Instagram fame in India. “How was your Insta in India?” he asked.
In a now viral video, the Finnish president explained that Dhurandhar was the real reason for his fame in India. “It was huge after I said I watched Dhurandhar.
“I realized it’s not a game at all. But it is,” Stubb said, referring to the film’s depiction of terrorism and intelligence operations.

Speaking to ANI during his visit to Mumbai, Stubb said he followed Dhurandhar on his son’s recommendation before traveling to India.
The Finnish president said he found the story compelling and even joked that it was “part of the narrative”, adding that he was looking forward to the sequel.
Indian social media users were stunned to see how Dhurandhar’s speech reached a close circle of global politicians, saying, “It’s great to see the leaders of two thriving democracies talking about the world’s largest democracy.”
“Are you talking about DHURANDHAR…Count me in,” said another user.
“Congratulations Aditya Dhar. Canadian PM discusses Dhurandhar,” another user commented.

About Dhurandhar
Starring Ranveer Singh as secret agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, Dhurandhar combined a spy drama with a story focused on counter-terrorist operations.
Its follow-up, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is slated to release on March 19 and special previews will be held on March 18. It is the fastest sequel in Bollywood, taking just over 100 days after the release of the first film.
Ranveer Singh will reprise his role in Dhurandhar 2 — this time deep into the criminal underworld under the moniker of Hamza Ali Mazari.
The story follows his rise in Karachi’s Lyari area after the death of gangster Rehman Dakait, originally portrayed by Akshay Khanna in the first installment. The upcoming sequel expands the narrative from personal infiltration to a broader national security threat.
The plot features a terrorist syndicate that Rangi tries to dismantle from within, with Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal, as the main target.
The film also features Sanjay Dutt as police officer SP Chaudhary Aslam and R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal.
