Telangana Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Municipal Training Center (CTC) at Medipally under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. He also inaugurated the new Bharosa and Command Control Center at Saroor Nagar.
The DGP said the CTC would enable specialized training programs for police personnel, especially in solving crimes involving technology. He emphasized that similar training centers are being set up across districts to improve preparedness and modern police standards.
Highlighting the growing need for road safety, Mr. Reddy said road accidents should be treated as a serious problem and urged motorists to adopt defensive driving practices. He announced that a large awareness program called ‘Arrive, Alive’ will be held in December to promote responsible driving. “It is not enough to worry about accidents after they happen. Everyone, including voluntary organizations, should contribute to their prevention,” he said.
Police Commissioner Rachakonda G.Sudheer Babu, DCP and other senior officers were present. Addressing a gathering at Medipally, the DGP appreciated Divis Laboratories Limited for extending support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to build the CTC. He also appreciated the company’s commitment to help build the Young India Police School approved by the Chief Minister for the children of police personnel. The school will allocate half of the places to children of police officers.

Centers of Bharosa
Later that day, the DGP inaugurated the Bharosa and Women Safety Kendra at Saroor Nagar under the Rachakonda Commissionerate. He said the centers are aimed at providing protection and legal advice to women facing distress. “These Bharosa Kendras will provide comprehensive support and legal counseling to women victims,” the DGP said.
