The General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA) reportedly issued a notice of the cause of the show on Saturday.
DGCA explained the reason for issuing the announcement and stated that during the inspection on the spot “the responsible manager of Air India was observed for two years from Bangalore to London (AL-133) on 16 May 2025 and 17 May 2025, both of whom exceeded 10 hours.”
The Office asked the official to answer within seven days as “why the relevant coercive measures should not be initiated”.
At the beginning of the DGCA day, Air India ordered to remove three “responsible waste” officials from all roles and obligations related to planning and crew list.
DGCA also immediately ordered internal disciplinary proceedings against these officials and stated that the outcome of such a procedure reported back within 10 days.
Air India spokesman confirmed the DGCA Directive on Friday and said, “We recognize the regulatory body and we have ordered.”
“Meanwhile, the company’s headquarters will provide direct supervision of the integrated operation center (IOCC). Air India has undertaken to ensure that security protocols and standard procedures are fully complied with,” the airline said.
The latest direction DGCA came at a time when Air India was under the strict control of the consequences of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
The DGCA event came after the flight of Air India in London, AI-171 carrying 242 passengers and crew members crashed in Ahmedabad 12 June.
All but one on board the aircraft died along with almost 29 on the ground when the aircraft broke into a medical complex shortly after take -off.
