George Kurian’s State Minister of Fisheries on Wednesday commissioned a cradle with a capacity of 250 tons.
The rocker carriage will support the abilities of docking and maintenance for a diverse range of vessels from fishing boats to a research vessel. The device was built in India Fissery Survey of India (FSI) at the price of 1.78 Crore 1.78, according to communication. The cradle is a heavy steel construction platform designed for safe transport and release of vessels up to 250 tonnes.
At his inauguration address, the Minister said the facility was a milestone on the country’s path to realize the vision of a sustainable blue economy, as presumed by the Prime Minister.
He added that the transponders were installed on fishing vessels in cooperation with Indian Space Research Organization to ensure safety at sea and real -time communication. The system also integrates the FSI potential for fishing predictions, allowing fishermen to gain reliable information about fish -rich areas directly through transponders.
The CEO of FSI Sreenath Krus said that the facility is a critical activator for the modernization of the deep sea modernization of the fleet, which is expected under Pradhan Matsya Sampad Yojana.
