
Devdutta Majhi from the West Begal’s Purba district Bardhan appeared as this year’s best rated candidate on the common ranking (CRL) Jee (Advanced) 2025, with the total rank of CRL 16.
Mrs. Majhi, who reached the peak of the IIT KharaGpur zone, won 312 brands from a total of 360.
During this year’s Jee (Mains) test, it also ensured the highest rank of 2 paper 1 (BE/BTECH) with a perfect 100 percent score.
“I am very satisfied with the results. After the rehearsal I felt good after the rehearsal, I knew it went well. I love mathematics a lot, so I want to join the BTEch course for mathematics and computer technology at the Indian Scientific Institute of Bangalore,” Mrs. Majhi said on Monday.
She added that her second choice would be the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.
“For my preparation, I did not join any specific coaching institute. At home I studied carefully and appeared for several false tests for practice,” said Mrs. Majhi.

In 2023, Mrs. Majhi secured her first position in the state in the class 10 Madhyamik Board Examise, which was carried out by the West Bengal Committee.
The main Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, took on social media to congratulate Mrs. Majhi.
“Today’s test results of the Jee Advanced 2025 show that you have been the top of all girls across the country and holding the highest rank in the Kharaggpur zone of IIT. You have achieved the highest ranks in our secondary and higher secondary tests earlier. Mrs. Banejee wrote.
Despite many students of girls who show their merit in these entrance exams Pan-India, the ratio of gender remains among students, especially in IIT, to a large extent beveled.
According to the Answer of the Ministry of Education, the government decided to promote women’s representation in IIT by increasing their registration in B.Tech Iit. Programs from 8% to 14% in 2018-19, 17% in 2019–2020 and 20% in 2020-21 through supernatural seats.
In addition, the central government has also encouraged institutions to improve gender ratio through special scholarships for students, consultancy for Jee–valued women, special off-road programs for secondary school students to encourage them to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), etc.
