Decorated with Rockfort Aruulmig’s Thayumanaswamy in Tiruch on Friday as part of the Chithirai festival.
Chithirai Thiruther Peruvizha began in a temple with Vignesware Puja 30. April evening and lifting the Holy Flag (Dwajarohanam) 1 May.
As part of the annual festival, Swami and Ambal were discarded in the Holy parade on various “Vahanams”. The ninth day of the festival on Friday was Thiruther Vadam Pidithal. After completing the saints in the early hours, the deities of Sri Thayumanaswamy and Ambal Mattaarkuarkuzhalammai were brought in special “alankarams” to the parade and placed in separate temple cars.
Devatives in large numbers gathered in the early hours and pulled out the decorated “swami ther” and “Ambal Ther” around 6.20 in the morning, two temple cars went through Chinnakadai Veedhi, NSB Road, Nandhi Koil Street and Andar Veedhi Vadak and arrived at the same place. The temple authorities took sophisticated measures for car festival. Chithirai Thiruther Peruvizha closes on May 14th.
