Details of foreign nationals must be reported under new law: Hyderabad Police

The Hyderabad Police has advised owners of houses, hotels, cottages, guesthouses, homestays, educational institutions and hospitals to compulsorily submit details of foreign nationals staying on their premises under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.

In an advisory issued on June 3, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Golconda Zone, said that accommodation providers must submit Form III (Form-C) online within 24 hours of the arrival of any foreign national, including foreign passport holders, OCI card holders and Nepalese nationals.

The advisory also stated that universities, colleges, schools and training institutes admitting foreign students must provide details through Form II, including information related to admission, enrolment, arrival, departure and graduation.

Police said accommodation providers are also required to report the departure of foreigners and keep records for at least one year from the date of submission.
