
Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu said on Friday (30 January) that competent and dedicated employees have always held a respected position in society and deserve due recognition.
He attended the retirement ceremony of Engineer-in-Chief (EnC) Admin. Shyam Prasad and Deputy ENC Veer Pratap at Vijayawada Jalasoudha who personally congratulated and thanked the two engineers with scarves in recognition of their services.
The Minister lauded Mr. Shyam Prasad for his invaluable contributions to Nagarjuna Sagar Right Canal Water Management and Veligonda Project. In line with the government’s vision, Mr. Shyam Prasad has carefully planned to complete the work of construction of tunnels, linings and feeders by June. The minister noted that his services will always be remembered by the farmers of Prakasam district and across the canal command area, he said.
Likewise, the Minister appreciated the service of the Deputy EnC, appreciated his dedication and professionalism. He stressed that although the current retirement of the two senior engineers leaves a gap in the irrigation department, he wished them a happy and peaceful life after retirement, recognizing their long-term contribution to the development of the state’s water resources.
