The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in the July 25, 2025, predicted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several regions in West Bengal to depression over the coastal west Bengal and the adjacent areas of the Bengal in the northwest.
“Under Influence of the Above Systems, Widespread Light to Moderate Rainfall with Isoted Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall and Isulated Extremely Heavy Rainfall MODERATE RAINFALL WITH ISLEDED Heavy Rainfall Activity (IS) Likely to Continue in Subsequent 6 Days Over Some Districts of South Bengal, ”The Friday Bulletin by the Regional Meteorological Center, Kolkata, said.
It also predicted thunderstorms with lightning and impact wind (speed of 30-40 km / h) at certain places in South Bengals between July and 27 July.
In regions in the southern districts of West Bengal IMD, IMD said water waterlogging will probably be in low -lying areas and underpass. It also assumed a reduction in visibility, disturbance of traffic, water levels, crop damage and adverse impact on Kutchha roads and Kutchha houses.
Meanwhile, the bulletin said that temporary contamination in low -laid areas and lightning strikes in open fields is probably for the northern districts of West Bengal.
IMD also issued a warning to the fishing coast of the West Bengal and advised them not to be discharged along and outside the Bengal and the coast of West Bengal and Odisha from 25 July to 29.
