The Ministry of Education will launch a nationwide Shalege Baa campaign to increase participation in government schools, Madhu Bangappa, Minister of Primary and Secondary education, said on Tuesday.
“We start the campaign based on the instructions of the main Minister Siddaramaiaha. Within the program, teachers will go from the door and invite students to participate in classes.
He spoke at the inspection meeting for progress covering Belagavi and Chikkodi educational neighborhoods in the Suvarna Judge here.
“All of us have to focus on increasing enrollment in government schools. Teachers and officials should seek to provide quality education for children and run government schools in a professional way, such as private schools. We have to explore reduced enrollment in government schools,” he said.
“Teachers and administrators should focus on schools in which the enrollment is decreasing. These schools should focus on further focus. The priority should be given to bringing children to school and providing quality education,” he said.
“The state government provides various facilities for children, such as free uniforms, noon meals and books in its schools. This must be published. The government has decided to allow school admission by July 30 this year.
“I noticed that the participation of government schoolchildren in Gokak and Raibag Taluks in the Belagavi district is very low. Data on children should be properly maintained every year.
This year the SSLC Pass has increased in the educational neighborhoods of Belagavi and Chikkodi. In the coming years, efforts should be made. Similarly, he pointed out that the teacher’s attendance in schools should be strictly enforced, he said.
“Children lagging behind in learning should be identified and focused on improving their ability. Good teachers should be identified and more responsible.
The means published by the department should be used appropriately. Shoes and socks distributed to children in schools should be good. By the end of July, school uniforms and textbooks should be distributed to all children. The schemes launched by the Ministry of Education should be properly carried out, said the Minister.
School buildings should be identified that have been dilapidated due to the rain and the department should be informed. Will be repaired. Confused rooms should not be used to guide the classes, he said.
The vacancies were filled with visiting teachers, said Deputy Director Leelavati Hiremath. She said there was no lack of pedagogical staff at present. She said that dilapidated buildings are identified for repairs.
The Majanshalagi and Duryodhan AiHole, the CEO of Zilla Panchayat Rahul Shinde, another Jayashree Shintre education commissioner, and other officers were present.
