The “Precision Farming Technology” demonstration unit was inaugurated in JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra in Suttur.
In a press release published on Saturday, the head scientist and head of JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra Gyanesh BN BN stated that the demonstration of the technology of agriculture will help farmers use agricultural resources such as water and fertilizers.
Farmers can visit JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra in Suttur, which is accredited by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research and to collect information about the demonstration unit.
In the inauguration program, the manager of the JSS, Suttur, SP Udayashankar, he said that Vigian Kendra has been providing training and demonstrations in farmers’ agricultural fields, except for various extensions in the last 30 years.
On this occasion, agricultural equipment was also distributed to farmers belonging to the planned caste and planned tribes.
ICAR’s Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (Atari) Zone 11, Bengaluru, V. Subramanian, who was the main guest of the program, said India was dependent on other food production countries before it achieved freedom.
Now it has not only achieved self -confidence in all areas of agriculture, but also exports agricultural products to foreign countries. The center provided seeds and seedlings for the planned caste and planned farmers of the tribes, said, adding that various agricultural equipment was also provided by JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra and can be used by farmers by renting it, he said.
The executive secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, CG Betsurmath, who chaired this position, regretted that young farmers left agriculture and became urban residents.
Mr. Betsurmath, who lamented that agricultural land was converted into residential distribution, said that the transformation of agricultural land into layouts led to a decrease in agricultural land, threatening to reduce food production in the future.
Therefore, he appealed to young country farmers not to leave agriculture, but remain in the field and achieve success. He called on young farmers to seek technical councils concerning agriculture at JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra.
Mr. Gyanesh said that the agricultural camp was organized in JSS Krishi Vigian Kendra in Suttura from 3 to 5 May and called for participating farmers to participate in the camp.
