The ongoing Dasar Fair in Mysuro announced an increase in the demand for books celebrated by novelist SL Bhyrappy and the winner of the International Booker Ban Mushtaq.
Although the scouts and guide Bharat in Mysuru, where Dasar’s Book Fair was organized, does not seem to develop with people, unlike other places in Dasar in Mysur in Mysurus, he showed satisfaction with participation.
“Visitors come mainly in the evening and weekends attract the biggest figures,” said the representative of the office, who also pointed to a creation in demand for Mr. Bhyrapa’s works, who recently died, and Mrs. Mushtaq.
Ramesh, who served a stand built by Sapna Book House, said they had received Mr. Bhyrappy and had to wait for refill.
Ganesh of Abhiruchi Prakashana, publisher of Edeya Hanate of Edeya Hanate Ban Mushtaq, confirmed the brisk sale of the novel by the winning Booker. While Pan. Bhyrappa and Mrs. Mushtaq dominate demand, visitors to the fair also picked up the classic Kuvempu, Poornochandra Tejaswi and Devanur Mahadev.
The Dasara Book Fair, which is scheduled to close on October 1, has 94 stalls that are higher than 70 stalls that were listed last year.
As many of the 80 publishers have, the estimated 50,000 titles said, most of which be discounts ranging from 10% to 50%.
For many readers, Dasar offers a unique opportunity. “Book fairs Let’s explore a wide range of titles across genres. The collection here is richer than at other exhibitions,” said Keerthi, who taught Kannada at the Mysur educational institution.
The opinion of the publishers who built the stands at the fair was mixed. While Bhargavi from Bookslok pointed out that the location of a particular booth played an important role in selling books, Ravindranath Srivar of Sirivar Prakashan said that sale this year is not in his expectations. According to some exhibitors, however, children’s books and various objects, such as attractive bookmarks, were a big draw at the exhibition.
Kannada chairman Book Authority Manasa said the fair attracted a healthy blow that helped promotional cars that traveled around the city to raise awareness. Given the re -reading of habits, especially among the youth, the “Angaladalli Tingal Pustaka”, launched a monthly reach at educational institutions where important personalities represent books and authors to inspire young readers.
