Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka warned that carrying out delimitation of constituencies based only on the 2011 census could jeopardize the political relevance of the southern states.
Addressing the bicentenary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule here on Saturday, such an exercise, without taking into account the caste census data, could result in reduced representation of the southern states, allowing governments to be formed at the center without their adequate participation.
