Delhi Weather Today: Residents of the national capital woke up to shallow fog on Sunday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly clear skies as the city recorded a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius at 7 am on November 30.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely during the morning hours of December 1 to 5, the IMD said. Minimum temperatures are likely to be normal, around 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, and may vary slightly around -1.5 to 1.5 degrees Celsius over the three days to Tuesday, according to the weather agency. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to settle between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius and is expected to be “normal to below normal (-1.6 to -3.0)” during the same period.
An IMD press release on November 29 suggests an increase in wind speed on Sunday, saying: “Prevailing surface winds are likely to be from the northwest, with calm winds gradually increasing to 10 km/h during the morning hours. In the afternoon, wind speeds will increase to less than 15 km/h from the northwest.”
Weather forecast for the next 5 days
Forecasting the weather for the coming days, the IMD said the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to drop by nearly 2 to 3 degrees Celsius between December 3 and 5. “Both the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be below normal to markedly below normal (02-05°C) during the above period,” the IMD said.
Skies are expected to be clear for the next five days, with fog likely in the morning hours.
