Commuting in northern Delhi is likely to face disruption of traffic by May 25, because repairs are underway at Kathia Baba. The Traffic Police in Delhi has issued an informative informing the public about the ongoing activities of the Public Work Department (PWD), which led to restrictions on this section.
Between SDM/Swaroop Nagar, there is work on the road, near the NH-44 outflow, and Vijay Chowk in the Burari area. As a result, the movement of vehicles in this part of Kathia Baba Marg will remain limited during the period.
In order to follow the flow of operation and minimize inconvenience, the police recommended alternative routes for motorists.
Disabled route:
Kathia Baba Marg: Between SDM/Swarooop Nagar (Nala, NH-44) and Vijay Chowk (Burari Party)
Suggested alternative routes:
Those traveling from SDM/Swaroop Nagar (NALA) can go on a journey through CC Road towards Bhalaswa dump (Kuda-Khatta) and continue to Jhanda Chowk and eventually achieve Burari Chowk.
Alternatively, commuters can travel from Jhanda Chowk to Gurjar Chowk and continue to Vijay Chowk to reach Buryi.
Motorists from Vijay Chowk can opt for the Gurudware road, then go to Gurjar Chowk, Jhanda Chowk and go to Bhalaswa landfill (Kuda-Khatta) before reaching Nala.
Travel Counseling:
Avoid the affected road and use alternative routes.
Be cooperative and patient while the work continues.
Follow the instructions of police staff and marshals located at the points of diversion.
General Instructions:
Use public transport whenever possible to reduce traffic jam.
Park only on designated parking areas and avoid parking.
To report any suspicious subjects or activity immediately.
The traffic police urged motorists to comply with road safety standards and cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth commuting during this period of work to improve roads.
