
Air fares from Delhi to Mumbai, one of the busiest air routes in India, have gone up to ₹48,972 amid IndiGo flight cancellation issues related to updated Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms.
According to International Air Transport Association (IATA) data released in 2025, flights operating between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad carried the highest number of passengers, making them the busiest domestic routes in India for 2024.

Data collected from MakeMyTrip (MMT) shows how many tickets are being sold now amid the IndiGo disruption crisis. (All ticket prices valid as of December 6, 2025)
1. Delhi to Mumbai: Direct flights from Delhi to Mumbai start from ₹25,161 per person and go all the way up ₹48,972 per person before taxes.
Only Air India, Air India Express and SpiceJet will operate their aircraft from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi on Saturday 06 December 2025. On average, a typical day ticket from Delhi to Mumbai costs around ₹6,000-6,200 for one-way travel.
2. Mumbai to Delhi: Direct flights between Mumbai and Delhi start from ₹23,589 per person and go all the way up ₹46,800 per person before tax.
Data shows that only Air India, Air India Express and SpiceJet will operate their aircraft out of Delhi airport in the next two days. On average, a regular daily ticket from BOM to DEL costs around ₹6000 for a one-way trip.

3. From Delhi to Kolkata: Direct flights between Delhi and Kolkata are sold in the range ₹23,589 to ₹46,899 per person before tax for December 6, 2025.
According to MMT data, only Air India, Air India Express and SpiceJet flights are available for booking at the moment. On an average, a regular day ticket from Delhi to Kolkata costs around ₹5,700 to ₹7,000 for a one-way trip.
4. Kolkata to Delhi: Direct flights from Kolkata to Delhi were sold between ₹27,999 a ₹38,809 per person before tax for December 6, 2025.
Air India, Akasa Air and SpiceJet are currently operating flights from Kolkata airport at current fare levels. On an average, a flight from Kolkata to Delhi costs anywhere between 5000 to 6000 for a one-way trip.
5. Delhi to Bengaluru: Delhi to Bengaluru flights are now charged in the range ₹80,069 per person and ₹88,469 per person before tax compared to the average price ₹7,173 per person during normal operation.
Only SpiceJet operates its flights from Delhi to Bengaluru on Saturday, while SpiceJet and Akasa Air operate their flights on the coming Sunday.

6. Bengaluru to Delhi: Bengaluru to Delhi ticket is now selling for ₹33,838 before tax on MakeMyTrip. Only Air India is operating two flights from Bengaluru to Delhi on Saturday 06 December 2025.
On an average, tickets from Bengaluru to Delhi cost anywhere between 6,800-7,000 for a one-way flight.
7. Delhi to Andaman: On Saturday 06 December 2025, there is only one flight from Delhi to Andaman operated by Air India which has a 19 hours and 45 minutes layover between the two airports. Airline ticket prices have risen sharply ₹92,067 per person before tax.
On an average, a ticket between Delhi and Andaman costs anywhere between 12,000 to 20,000 per person for a one-way flight.
8. From Delhi to Hyderabad: Delhi to Hyderabad ticket is sold anywhere ₹49,259 per person and ₹50,628 per person. According to MMT data, only Air India Express operates flights between Delhi to Hyderabad. On average, ticket prices on this route range between ₹5,500-6,000 per person for a one-way trip.

9. Hyderabad to Delhi: Air fares between Hyderabad and Delhi are now ranging between ₹33,850 a ₹42,794 per person excluding taxes. Only Air India and SpiceJet operate this flight route during the absence of IndiGo.
On average, a ticket from Hyderabad to Delhi costs somewhere in between ₹6,400 a ₹7,000 on a weekday for a one-way trip.
10. Mumbai to Bengaluru: According to MMT data, all flights from Mumbai to Bengaluru as of 6 December 2025 are sold out, with fares for the same route ranging from ₹30,000 up to ₹40,219 per person before tax on Sunday.
On average, this BOM to BLR route is somewhere in between ₹5,900 up to ₹7,700 per person on a normal business day for a one-way trip.
