Traveling from East Delhi to Noida International Airport in Jewar will be much smoother – and significantly faster!
According to a News24 report, the Noida Authority has officially given the final alignment approval for a brand new 50 kilometer long elevated expressway designed to seamlessly connect the Akshardham Temple with the Jewar Airport.
This pressure on infrastructure will reduce commuting times and greatly alleviate the heavy pressure on existing road networks.

Inside ₹Mega corridor for 4000 million crowns
The massive elevated expressway will start near the Akshardham temple and lead directly to the Noida International Airport, the report said. Of the total 50 kilometers, approximately 27 kilometers will fall directly to the Noida region.
According to media reports, this mega corridor will be built at an estimated cost ₹4,000 million crowns. The main expressway will have six lanes to ensure smooth traffic flow and the entry sections will be widened to eight lanes to avoid bottlenecks.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will take over the reins of both the construction and long-term maintenance of the expressway project, which is currently in the detailed project report (DPR) stage.
NHAI will conduct rigorous soil testing along the proposed route to assess the bearing capacity.

A fundamental shift of five meters
Initially, the alignment of the project was mapped right along the embankment of the Yamuna river. However, the UP Irrigation Department has flagged critical concerns regarding potential flood risks and the overall safety of the structure.
Keeping these red flags in mind, the authorities shifted the proposed alignment by exactly five meters to the Noida side. With these safety modifications, the revised layout has now secured final approval.
For commuters, the main access point to this elevated wonder will be a massive 120 meter wide road starting at Sector 94 and running along the waterfront.
Delhi-Noida travel time reduced to 60-70 minutes
This upcoming expressway comes with a fond farewell to unpredictable rush hour traffic jams. Once operational, it is expected to reduce the travel time between Akshardham and Jewar Airport to a brisk 60 to 70 minutes.
Residents living in Mayur Vihar, Patparganj, IP Extension, Kalindi Kunj and Sarita Vihar will get a massive upgrade in airport connectivity. The corridor will also offer direct connectivity towards Faridabad via Manjhawali Bridge.
This 50 km long stretch will eventually serve as a crucial piece of the puzzle in the much larger NCR connectivity that will seamlessly connect to several major expressways.

Rapid rail-metro hybrid from Ghaziabad to Jewar
Not only is road connectivity improving significantly, the NCR’s public transport network is also set for a massive revival. Earlier this month, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) unveiled plans for a new 72.44 kilometer transit corridor connecting Ghaziabad directly with Noida International Airport.
The corridor will feature an innovative dual-service model, giving commuters access to 11 Namo Bharat (Regional Rapid Rail) stations for faster intercity travel, along with 18 local metro stations for shorter, localized commutes between Ghaziabad, Noida and the airport.
The Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Ghaziabad station link with Jewar will be a massive corridor primarily elevated (71.5 km) with a short underground section of 1.29 km, the NCRTC said.
