The pothole that knocked his parents off their motorbike when he was 13 left a lasting impression on the teenager from Vikaspuri. Three years later, the 16-year-old built Project Sadak, a citizen platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to route complaints about road hazards to relevant government departments and track repairs.

As of October 26, the platform has recorded 2,927 complaints in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with 190 repairs documented through photographs. Almost 75% of complaints relate to potholes and road conditions, including uneven surfaces and speed brakes, while the rest indicate problems such as broken pavements and litter.
