The second edition of Delhi Premier League will begin the men’s competition on August 2, followed by a female tournament starting on August 17th. The monthly event will again combine some of the most promising cricket talents from all over Delhi, and both competitions are expected to provide competitive matches with high intensity.
The men’s final is scheduled for 31 August, with September 1, maintained as a spare day. This year, the men’s competition has eight teams divided into two groups. The group A consists of external warriors in Delhi, Central Delhi, New Delhi Tigers and northern Delhi attackers. Group B includes West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi SuperStarz and Purani Dilli 6.
Each team will play ten games in the league scene. They will face three other teams in their group twice and in a double round robin format. In addition, one match will play each match against four teams from the opposite group. This structure ensures that all sides have a balanced schedule before going to the playoffs.
The four best teams at the end of the league scene will advance to the knockouts. The best two teams will play in qualifying 1, with the winner to secure a direct place in the finals. The third and fourth locations will meet the teams in the eliminator. The loser will be discarded while the winner will face the defend of a qualifier 1 in qualifying 2 to determine the second finalist.
The women’s competition, which runs from 17 to 24 August, will present four teams. A total of six games will be played in the league scene, each team facing others. The largest two sides will advance to the finals.
With its extended structure and the devoted female league 2025, Delhi Premier League continues to offer a meaningful platform for developing players while strengthening the cricket landscape of the city.
