Amitabh Kant Hails Move
Former Indian G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant called it a “orientation reform”.
“The reform of landmarks. After 45 years, the police in Delhi will no longer issue licenses for restaurants, hotels, guest houses, swimming pools, discotheques, entertainment parks, video and auditoriums,” he said.
The forces were “properly downloaded”, Kant said in a post on X.
“These powers, for the first time in 1980, have now been rightfully downloaded. This is a fundamental step in the area of easy business and supporting confidence in the company,” he said.
Kant said: “Less regulation means more growth, more jobs and more vivid urban economy.”
The former G20 sherpa urged more reforms to fully realize the vision of an easy life.
“India must now build on this dynamics. We need many more reforms in the states to realize the complete promise of PM @Narendramodi’s vision of ease of life. Congratulations to @ltgovdelhi to manage this reform,” Kant wrote.
