
On Monday, June 23, a massive fire broke out in the banquet hall near the Motinagar area in Delhi. The Delhi Fire Services Officer (DFS) said at least 24 fire offers were in a hurry.
No victims have been reported yet.
The DFS official said the firefighters accepted the call around 20:47. Initially, 18 fire offers were sent to the site. Another six more were sent later.
“We got a fire on fire at 20:47 at Golden Banquet Hall, opposite DLF Moti Nagar. A total of 24 fire offers were hurried,” the official said.
The visuals from the scene showed fat plumes of smoke in the night sky as the flames absorbed large parts of the banquet hall.
Efforts burned fire are still ongoing. The cause of the fire must still be found.
Ambulances and police teams were deployed on the spot as preventive measures.
The authorities ended the area to maintain viewers at a safe distance, and traffic movement on the neighboring road was diverted.
DFS said that further investigations will be carried out as soon as the flames are under control and the cooling is completed.
