Main Minister Delhi Rekha Gupta said her government would insist on the Supreme Court to allow uniform rules for excessive vehicles in the national capital in accordance with those followed all over the country.
Gupt’s remarks came after Governor Delhi Lieutenant VK Saxen wrote to her that it was “irrational” to imagine that a ten -year -old diesel vehicle had reached its end in Delhi while staying in any other city under the same law.

LG sent in a letter on Saturday cm that “this seems incompatible with the principle of legal certainty and equal treatment”.
LG also stated that the government should file a proposal for a review before the Supreme Court, which will approve it on the extent of the initiatives acquired by the government in the recent past and changed circumstances to re-evaluate its commands concerning vehicles at the end of their lives in relation to Delhi-NCR.
Hold the ban, Delhi Govt on CAQM
Last week, the Delhi government called on the Air Quality Commission (CAQM) to immediately introduce the supplementation of gasoline cars over 15 years of age and diesel vehicles over 10 years.
The Minister of the Environment in Delhi Manjinder Singh SIRSA in the letter CAQM Rajesh Verma said that the fuel ban is not feasible and cannot be made due to technological challenges.
Starting with 1 July, all vehicles were at the end of life (EOL) -NAFTA older than 10 years and gasoline vehicles over 15 years of age-regardless of the state in which they are registered, according to the CAQM Directive in Dilli.
The Chief Minister Gupta spoke with reporters on the secondary dormitory on Sunday and stated that the government would pay attention to people’s sentiments before the Supreme Court.

“We will say to the Supreme Court about measures for controlling the pollution that has been taken by the government. The parameters that apply throughout the country should also apply to Delhi. We want the Delhiites to face any inconvenience,” she said.
When CAQM was issued to disable fuel for excessive vehicles, the government has been afraid since then, she said.
“The previous governments have never done anything to control pollution in Delhi. Therefore, NGT had to intervene and take such steps. But now the situation has changed. Our Minister of the Environment wrote a letter to CAQM and told them that such a provision cannot be carried out in Delhi,” she said.
The main minister said they were committed to providing relief to people.
Gupta also pointed out that if an excessive vehicle was denied in Delhi, it could still be filled from neighboring areas.
“The ban on vehicles at the end of life in Delhi is not new”
The decision to ban vehicles at the end of their lives from the roads in Delhi and NCR (region of the capital) is not new. The Supreme Court’s decision in 2018 banned diesel vehicles over 10 years of age and gasoline vehicles over 15 years in Delhi. The 2014 National Green Tribunal command also prohibits parking vehicles aged over 15 years in public areas.
This time, however
In communicating with Gupta Saxen, she also proposed that the government to take over the matter with the chairman of CAQM and introduce the whole range of facts for re -evaluation of instructions concerning overvaluation vehicles and maintaining them at least until the entire NCR region is in a state of readiness.
Minister SIRSA said the government has accepted LG proposals and is going forward accordingly.
“The main minister is instructed to act as recommended by LG, including addressing the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Road Transport and Motorway (Morth). Our position is clear – vehicles should be evaluated on the basis of real emissions, not only their age,” SIRSA PTI said.

SIRSA said one of the five recommendations that included communication with CAQM has already been negotiated.
“We have already written CAQM. The rest of the proposals will also be accepted at the right time,” he said.
Social media has since been introduced on July 1, with public anger on the ban.
Most vehicle owners in Delhi (79 %) are, according to a new survey published on July 3 issued 3.
Our stand is clear – vehicles should be evaluated on the basis of real emissions, not just their age.
