
Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi on 28 July approved the accusation of corruption at the command against Amanatullah Khan, the AAM AADMI (AAP) MLA, and others in connection with the alleged illegal appointment to the Delhi Waqf Council.
This comes after Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recently filed an additional defendant in which Amanatullah Khan is named the main accused.

The accusation of the Court of Justice, based on corruption and criminal conspiracy, is against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and another 10 accused of alleged discrepancies in recruitment to the Delhi Waqf Board of Directors, Bar & Bench reported.
The command was accepted by Rouse Avenue Courts Special Judge (PC Act) Dig Vina Singh on 28 July (Monday). The report added that a detailed copy of the judgment has not yet been published.

The report identified 10 additional accounts in the case of illegal recruitment case as – Mahmoudb Alam, Hamid Akhtar, Kifayatullah Khan, Rafisshan Khan, Imran Ali, MD Ahrar, Aquib Jawed, Azhar Khan, Zakir Khan and Abudul.

Delhi’s Delhi Board (DWB) The illegal recruitment case concerns the alleged abuse of power in the recruitment process for positions in the institution. The CBI case claims that, as chairman of DWB AAP AAP Amanatullah Khan, he abused his power to violate the rules for roles.
According to the CBI accused, he misused his official position by DWB chairman between 2016 and 2021 for a series of illegal appointments, including the name of Mahboob Alam as the CEO of the Board of Directors.
In addition, the CBI, a branch for enforcement (ED) Delhi, is also investigating the matter for alleged money washing.
Preliminary deposit in the case of “arrest obstruction”
At the beginning of February, Amanatullah Khan was awarded a preliminary bail for a handcade £25 000 and one certainty in a similar amount of court in Delhi in the case of “obstacle to arrest”. He was accused of defending Shahwez Khan, an allegedly declared perpetrator.
Khan and his supporters were booked according to sections 221 (obstruction of civil servants, when they fulfill their duties), 132 (criminal power or attack by a civil servant, while fulfilling their duties), inter alia, BNS.
