Car blast in Delhi
The blast took place in a slow-moving car at a traffic light near Red Fort Metro station on Monday night, killing 12 people, injuring 20 and gutting several vehicles.
According to an ANI report, the blast was not a suicide attack but was instead triggered by panicked suspects.
Security agencies are conducting raids at multiple locations linked to terror networks and have seized a large quantity of explosives in Faridabad, Saharanpur, Pulwama and other areas. Investigators believe the suspect acted rashly under increasing pressure.
Sources told ANI that the suspect did not follow the usual pattern of a suicide car bombing – neither ramming the car into the target nor deliberately crashing. The explosion near the Red Fort did not follow the typical modus operandi of suicide bombers aiming to cause maximum damage.
