
The blast in Delhi on November 10, which shook the nation, is being carefully investigated by investigative agencies. Police suspect that Monday’s blast could be a ‘Fidayeen’ (suicide) attack, ANI quoted Delhi Police sources as saying.
According to preliminary investigation, the prime suspect planned the suicide attack after learning that the Faridabad module had been arrested. According to sources, investigating agencies are working on all angles to determine the motive behind the blast.
According to PTI’s latest update on the death toll, a total of 12 people were reported dead in the high-intensity explosion that occurred in a slow-moving car at Netaji Subhash Marg. Following the blast, security has been stepped up at sensitive locations across the capital, including airports, railway and metro stations, monuments and others. Besides, several states like Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar and others are on high alert.
The Delhi Police announced the closure of Red Fort for three days, till November 13, and the Delhi Metro closed Lal Quila station for security reasons. On Tuesday morning, Team A of the NSG staff will reach the car blast site in Red Fort to investigate the incident.
Eight people died in the blast that occurred around 7:00 pm (NSG), personnel reached the spot to investigate the Red Fort car blast that took place around 7:00 pm on Monday. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Explosives Act in connection with the deadly blast.

Rajnath Singh reacts to the Delhi blast
Addressing the Delhi Defense Dialogue today, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reacted to the car blast at Delhi’s Red Fort. Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, he said: “Those responsible for this tragedy will be brought to justice and will not be spared under any circumstances.”
He added: “My sincere condolences to all those who lost their lives in the tragic incident that occurred yesterday in Delhi. I pray to God to give strength and comfort to the bereaved families in this hour of deep sorrow. I want to assure my citizens that the leading investigative agencies of the country are conducting a prompt and thorough investigation into the incident.
