Congress’s leader has not given any specific incident, but his comments read to be associated with recent incidents in which BJP MLA applied for an action against Muslims offering prayers (Masaz) on the roads, while others sought to close the meat during the upcoming proportion in the national capital.
Bharatiya Janata (BJP) defeated the Government of Aam Aadmi in the elections to Delhi in Delhi 2025, which after 27 years meant the return of the saffron party to power in the national capital.
MLA wants action for namaz on roads
Shakur Basti Mla Karnail Singh wrote to the police commissioners in Delhi and urged the lawsuit to prevent “inconvenience caused by smear in public places”.
In his letter of 25 March Singh claimed that the prayers offered on roads and public areas were disrupting operation and basic services.
“In our city, Zamaz offers roads and public places and causes inconvenience to the general public. For this reason, ambulances, school buses and other basic services are also influenced for this reason,” he wrote in a letter in Hindi, as reported by PTI.
Singh, for the first time, stressed that the public order and operation were not influenced and urged the police to ensure that “religious activities are organized only at designated places and private premises”.

Singh leads the Temple Cel of BJP in Delhi, which was created in 2022 to strengthen ties with urban priests. In the elections from the last month, the leader of AAP and former Minister of Health Satyendar Jain defeated 20,998 votes.
Singh’s letter comes in Ramadan and before last Friday, March 27, who sees a huge gathering of Muslims offering afternoon prayers through mosques in the capital.
This MLA wants to make masque trades closed
Before Singh, he demanded another BJP MLA, Ravinder Singh Negi, closing of mass capital stores during the upcoming Navratri festival. Negi said that although the directive is not enforced across Delhi, it will try to ensure that the trades remain closed in their Patparganj constituency.
“After 27 years we have a government and we will demand that meat shops remain closed throughout Delhi. Even if it does not happen throughout the city, I will ensure closure in my Patparganj constituency,” said Negi, BJP MLA from Patparganj seat.
Negi won the elections to the assembly in Delhi 2025 and defeated the UPSC coach Avadh Ojha ‘Sir’ from the high -profile seat of Patparganj, once represented by the leader of the AAM AADMI Manish Sisodia.
