
Delhi Airport on Friday evening (May 2) released fresh counseling after the main rains set out in the morning, causing more than 200 flights to delay.
Strong rains, accompanied by storms, swept through North India, including the Delhi-NCR region, so at least seven people were dead and overthrown more than 100 trees. The downpour was also launched by a landslide that blocked the National Highway Jammu-Srinagar.

Delhi is an international Indira Gandhi airport, advises passengers to stay in contact with the relevant airlines and keep the card on flight updates.
“Due to the weather and the roads around the airport, we recommend using Metro Delhi or other public transport to minimize travel delay. The airport is fully functional, although some flights may be affected.”

“Our teams on Earth are diligently coordinating with all parties to provide passengers with a smooth and effective experience. Passengers are asked to stay in contact with their airlines for the latest flight updates,” Deli Airport shared on X, formerly Twitter.
Weather in Delhi: IMD predicts tomorrow storms
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a yellow warning on Saturday 3 May for Delhi, which predicted thunderstorms and rain, accompanied by a flash. Although no warnings have been released on Sunday and the upcoming week, the Observatory for the weather predicted a storm with rain since 4 May 6.

The golden sky together with rain or thunderstorms is probably from May 7 to May 8, shows the latest IMD forecast on Friday 21:24.
Delhi rain cause confusion: 4 killed, energy cuts reported in multiple areas
On Friday morning, Delhi recorded 77 mm collisions-a-second the highest one-day rainfall in May since 1901, PTI reported. The torrential downpour killed four people in the Najafgarh area in the capital of the National City and three in Uttar Pradesh.

1. 28 -year -old woman and her three children lost their lives in the southwestern dili on Jafgarh, after the tree hit their house, causing it to collapse during Friday’s heavy rain. The rescue teams pulled them out of the debris, but were declared dead in a nearby hospital.
2. Intense downpour has caused confusion throughout the region, which led to a major impairment of travel. More than 200 years were delayed and three were diverted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi due to low visibility and impact wind.

3. In Uttar Pradesh, the lightning strikes claimed three lives and several others were injured. Two of the victims were everyday pay workers working on the MGNGA Road project in Firozabad. The next incident was a family who tried to cover hay during a storm during a storm.
4. Morning rains also led to waterlogging across large cities such as Delhi, Grrabogram, Faridabad and Mathra, stopping traffic. In the capital, the civil authorities said that among 100 and 200 trees was eradicated.

5. Key areas such as Mino Bridge, Ito, RK Puram’s Major Somnath Marg and Khanpur were immersed, causing gridlocks that lasted hours.
6. The energy source was also affected. Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) showed 22 complaints about a failure that were mostly resolved within an hour. BSE, another main energy provider, temporarily reduced electricity in some low -laid areas to prevent accidents due to waterliance.
