Delegation of advocates led by the former President of the State Commission of Karnataka for CS Dwarakanath’s CS DWARAKANATH asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was looking for a special investigation team (SIT) to explore the alleged incidents of mass rape and bulk funeral in Dharmasthale.
The advocates who met with the main minister in Bengalur on Wednesday expressed concern that despite the eyewitness providing confessional statements and companies, the investigation of the local police seemed to be registered in the mandate of Bharatiya Nagarik Surraksha Sanhit.
They demanded that SIT be created and should be monitored by an official at the level of ADGP and the current judge of the High Court in retirement. They also demanded that the investigation be carried out with comprehensive forensic support, including DNA and digital forensic experts.
The whole investigation should be recorded video to ensure transparency and responsibility at every stage.
The team of advocates compressed by Umapathi S., Suddha Katwa and T. Narasimha Murtha.
