Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) imposed fines of 10 lakhs per two suppliers for not starting work in the south and western zones of the city.
In the southern zone, M/S JMC Constructions were penalized for 5 GBP Lakh for not starting to work on white performance west of Chord Road and the main road Hosakerhalli in the Vijayanagar assembly election district. Their inactivity caused the public inconvenience and the fine was selected under the provisions of 41 (1) and (4) (2) of the contractual agreement.
Similarly, in the western zone, the M/S Ocean Constructions was fined 5 Lakh for slow work on white performance on Vial Kaval Road. Public inconveniences and slow progress have made the authorities impose a fine on the same provisions on the contract.
BBMP, which has taken extensive work with white performance throughout the city, enforces strict steps against delay.
