The Central Empowered Committee (CEC), appointed by the Supreme Court to look into issues related to Kolleru Lake, has expressed serious concern over the Andhra Pradesh government’s “inordinate delay” in finalizing the boundaries of the lake and its nature reserve.
At a recent meeting in Delhi, the CEC expressed its displeasure and indicated that it would move to submit its report along with observations to the apex court. The CEC made it clear that it could no longer wait for the government’s response, noting that it had already been given enough time and opportunity.
