Iran-American War: Amid the ongoing conflict between Iran, Israel and the US, Iranian President Pezeshkian was spotted on the streets of Tehran as Iranians greeted and took photos with the president as he joined the country’s massive Quds Day gathering.
Iranian media reported that President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi attended the rally in a gesture of defiance. Quds Day is celebrated on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, the dates of which change every year according to the Islamic calendar, the WANA news agency reported.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has warned that the US will attack Iran “very hard next week” as Iran’s conflict with the US and Israel entered its second week last Saturday, March 7.

To date, the war has killed 2,000 people, most of them in Iran, but also many in Lebanon and a growing number in the Persian Gulf, Reuters reported.
Israel-Iran-US conflict
Iran launched retaliatory strikes after the US and Israel launched a joint attack on the Islamic Republic on Saturday, February 28 – which also killed former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. The explosions were reported across Gulf cities – including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other key West Asian hubs – which are also home to US military bases.
On Friday, March 13, Iranian Press TV reported that a woman was killed in an airstrike near a Quds Day demonstration in Tehran.
Israel’s military said its air force struck more than 200 targets in western and central Iran in the past day, including ballistic missile launchers, air defense systems and weapons factories.
Earlier, Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in his first public statement since the accession of his father, Ayatollah Khamenei, reportedly promised to continue the attacks. He vowed to avenge those killed in the war, including a strike on a school in Minabu that reportedly killed 168 girls. Khamenei said Iran would “get compensation” from its enemy, referring to the United States.
He also said leverage should be used to close the Strait of Hormuz, the AP news channel reported.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public since assuming leadership, and a written statement was read by a state television presenter.
