India is “deeply concerned” by developing situations in West Asia after Israel claimed to have attacked in multiple goals in Iran, which included nuclear energy research stations, said the Ministry of External Association on Friday (June 13, 2025). Indian embassies in Tehran and Tel Aviv have issued advice for Indian citizens who call them to be careful with regard to the escalating tension in the region.

“We are deeply concerned about the recent development between Iran and Israel. We carefully monitor the evolving situation, including reports concerning attacks on nuclear places. India urges both sides to avoid any escalating steps,” the Ministry of external Affairs said.
Previously, the Indian embassy in Iran urged Indian citizens to remain vigilant and “avoid all unnecessary movements”. India’s embassy urged Indian nationals in Iran to follow the social media accounts of the mission. Similar counseling was issued by the Indian Embassy in Israel, which urged Indians to “please caution, avoid unnecessary travel in the country and remain close to security shelters.
“India urges both sides to avoid escalating steps, existing channels of dialogue and diplomacy should be used to work on de-schooling the situation and solving basic problems. India has close and friendly relations with both countries and stalls prepared to extend all possible support,” Mea said.
