Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said on Thursday (May 1, 2025) that the decision to postpone the re -opening of schools in the state would be closer to the date of re -opening on the basis of weather conditions and after consultation with the main minister.

Mr. Poyyamozhi also issued a strict warning to private schools regarding their fees structures. “Strict measures will be taken against any institution that collects fees over the fixed government rate,” he said
He said on national education policy (NEP): “We follow policy without detention for students to class VIII, but NEP prefers public examinations in class III, V and VIII, which will increase the level of premature completion of children,” he said.
When he asked about the caste census, he said that the center would not start when it would start. “The elections appear in five countries. We can expect many such announcements from the Union’s government during the election season. This should not only be announced, but also implemented,” poyyamozhi said.
