Daughter of former ZP chairman files nominations for two ZPTCs in AP’s Vizianagaram district

Daughter of former Zilla Parishad Chairman Majji Srinivasa Rao Siri Sahasra filed nominations in two Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTC): Kothavalasa and Terlam in Vizianagaram district on Friday (October 23, 2026).

Mr. Srinivasa Rao, who recently joined the TDP, reportedly tried for the Vizianagaram Mayoral seat for his daughter but was not awarded it due to various reasons.

Bobbili MLA Baby Nayana and legislator S. Kota Kolla Lalitakumari accompanied him and his daughter to file nominations for both seats at the Zilla Parishad office in Vizianagaram. According to sources, she is likely to withdraw her nomination from one seat after accepting suggestions from senior leaders.

Mr Srinivasa Rao, who won the ZPTC’s Merakamudiam seat unanimously in 2019, hopes that Ms Sahasra will be unanimously elected from either Terlam or Kothavalasa.
