
In the Kozhikode district, the data bank will soon be prepared for unused land available at various government authorities to support the rapid implementation of housing projects within the mission for the inclusion and financial authorization of the state government. The manager of various local self -governing bodies said they would be able to identify at least one or two unused land acres in their areas and exchange details with the Ministry of Income within a few weeks to support the initiative.
“According to the instructions we have received, the district collector will be able to take these properties directly without any technical obstacles and include them in the data bank for future use. The only requirement is to obtain a certificate of objection (night) from the original land holders,” He added that Grama Panchayats and municipalities have already been asked to find two acres and one acre of unused land, respectively within or their limits for this purpose.
According to sources of the Ministry of Income, most government authorities have already reviewed their land records and identified unused land that can be assigned to the housing initiative. Some departments also submitted preliminary data together with supporting ground documents concerned by the authorities for initial verification.

Support for various government departments, state programs and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was essential for early completion of these projects. Officials stated that future projects will focus mainly on approximately 3,000 families without land, which are described as extremely poor throughout the state.
