The dashboard cameras proved to be beneficial for car drivers and police staff and create immediate video evidence.
The grain but clear shots of the stones on the dashboard in the passing private vehicle captured when the school bus passed through the intersection in Miyapur and hit the two -round crossing of the road. The rider, the laboratory in the hospital of calcium, lost his life in a collision in Gopal Nagar. This short clip soon became decisive for the police in compiling what happened and emphasized how the dash cams, once consider gadgets in top vehicles, now appear as important tools in accident investigation.
Inspector Miyapur P. Shiva Prasad, who investigated the case reported 31. “They provide clarity in the investigation of accidents and are admissible in court, especially on the basis of the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS), which brings evidence of audiovisual evidence,” he said.
In traffic accidents, there has long been what officers call “greater vehicle guilt syndrome”, which is a tendency to assume that a larger vehicle is fault. “As a result, cases were often reserved against larger vehicles. There is more certainty for the dash – if the victim was driving correctly, the accusation may not be worried and the real perpetrator may be responsible,” said Pig.
Officials of law and transport point out that Dash Cams help solve a long -term invitation to investigate accidents. “Most of the time we depend on eyewitnesses and technical evidence. But at the time the police arrived, the vehicles could be moved, the angles changed, and the lost details were lost, making it more difficult to determine what had actually happened,” said the head officer from the Hyderabad. “In some cases, without witnesses, even innocent victims ended up booked,” he added.
He quoted one unusual case where a man tried to lie in front of a moving vehicle. The driver was originally booked and his family faced will, but the shots of Dash Cam later confirmed that the victim intentionally ended his life. “Without this record, the driver would be incorrectly punished,” the officer said.
Hyderabad traffic police have now asked RTC, school buses operators and all other vehicles that ferry school children to install dashes, both to increase students’ safety and to ensure unfair accusation in the event of accidents. Officials recommended more motorists to install Dash Cams and noted that wider adoption would not only alleviate the investigation, but also support safer driving procedures.
More than just a probe of accidents
Experts believe that the benefits of Dash Cams are far from evidence of the courtroom. The author of the road safety and the trainer for the Driver’s Training Narnesh Raghavan called them “extremely effective in determining the cause of accidents” and suggested that the government should order at least basic models in all vehicles.
“In India, a larger vehicle is always accused. CAMS DASH CAMS can correctly determine. They also capture other traffic disturbances such as rash and obstacle. If the vehicle is damaged in such incidents, the shots can serve as supporting evidence for insurance requirements,” said Mr. Raghavan.
Despite their usefulness, awareness of Dash Cams remains limited. The Prasad Inspector noted that he had only solved two or three cases using such shots because they were installed by relatively few people in Hyderabad. Yet the numbers are growing.
I wonder why DASH CAMS is not mounted in a factory as it is a necessary function today. Visible wiring and location is ugly. If it is built into the mirror, it would be perfect, right? Do they have any cars mounted a factory?
