Dasara Creative Workshop for Kids in Mysuru
The Indian Institute of Educational Theater (IIET) has announced a seven-day activity-based summer camp for children titled ‘PLAY’, aimed at promoting hands-on exploration, craftsmanship and creative expression. The camp will be held from October 12 to 18 at Hardwicke School premises on JLB Road here.
The workshop is intended for children between the ages of 8 and 15 and will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The initiative offers a dynamic environment where young participants can engage with their peers in clay, nature, paint and recyclable materials.
A press release stated that children will directly experiment with different materials to discover new forms of artistic expression. Storytelling lessons will feature engaging stories designed to stimulate imagination, critical thinking and communication skills. As part of the film screenings, carefully selected children’s films will be shown, which will entertain and stimulate meaningful ideas. Interactive instructions for creating art using everyday objects and recyclable waste materials will also be provided, the release added.
All basic art supplies needed for the activities will be provided by the organizers. Children may occasionally be asked to bring in safe, recyclable waste from home for specific projects. We ask parents to pack a lunch and send a water bottle for their children.
The participation fee for the 7-day camp is CZK 3,000 per child. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. For registration and other questions contact 9686892255.
