Vangaveeti Asha Kiran, daughter of former MLA late Vangaveeti Mohan Rang, announced her formal entry into politics on Sunday (November 16, 2025). After decorating Ranga’s statue near Raghavaiah Park in Vijayawada, she said her father was a leader admired across Andhra Pradesh who broke barriers of caste and religion.
Speaking to the media later, Ms. Kiran said that she had accepted the invitation of the Radha–Ranga Mitra Mandali to participate in their activities and promised to work tirelessly to promote and promote Ranga ideals.
Ms. Kiran said that she has been staying out of public life for some time but will now focus on people’s welfare. “From now on all my journey will be among men. I will stand by them in all troubles,” she said.
She also noticed a gap between the Radha-Ranga Mitra Mandali groups and intended to bridge it. Calling her father the only leader who provides help to all without caste or religious distinction, she said that his philosophy and values will be accepted more strongly by the public.
