Indian Railways, on Friday, April 11, announced that there was no change in the timing of the Tatkal Tickets or Premium Tatkal in the middle of news claiming that such a development.
In a post on the Social Media on X, IRCTC, he rejected reports and posts that claimed that the timing of the reservation was changed for categories in segments AC and Non AC.
“Some contributions are orbiting social media channels that mention different timing for Tatkal and Premium Tatkal tickets. There is currently no such change in Tatkal timing or Premium Tatkal reservation timing for AC or outside AC.”
Indian railways also stressed that the times of reservation for travel agencies remain unchanged since 11 April.
“The allowed timing of the reservation for agents also remains unchanged,” they said.
E-Ticket reservation time
According to official data, the Indian railway tatkal e-tickets can be reserved for selected trains one day in advance, with the exception of the date of travel from the original station.
“IT (dadkal e-ticketes) can booked on the opening day 10:00 hrs for ac class (2a/3a/cc/ec/3e) and at 11:00 hrs for non-AC class (SL/FC/25). Commence at 10:00 am and for non ac class Will Commence at 11:00 am on 1st August, ”according to IRCTC.
