
Da Hike News: On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Karnataka government increased the contribution to Drahouška (DA) for the civil servants to 14.25% before the Diwali 2025, the PTI press agency reported.
According to a report by the State Government, the Drahoba has increased the item for its employees to 14.25%, compared to their earlier 12.25% of their basic salary levels.
The State Government of Karnataka also stated that the increase in DA would also apply to pensioners, according to the announcement of the financial department cited in the report.
Increasing the contribution to the darling will be effective from 1 July 2026, according to the official order. This step represents the second DA hike in the financial year 2025-26.
At the beginning of May 2025, the state government increased Karnataka by 12.25% of the basic wage by 12.25% of the basic wage compared to their earlier levels of 10.75%.

The cabinet approves the hike

The DA hike is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Commission of the Central Government.
According to the news report, the overall annual impact of DA and DR HIKE will be almost £10 084 crore. The proposed hike is expected to benefit nearly 49.19 lake employees of the central government and 68.72 Lakh pensioners.
In 2024, the central government approved a 3% increase in DA for employees of the central government on October 16, 2024, before Diwali last year.
