
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday released a “yellow warning” for heavy rain and thunderstorms over several Maharashtra districts in front of Shakhti cyclone.
Under the influence of a cyclonic storm, the sea conditions will probably be rough to very rough along and outside the coast of Gujarat-North Maharashtra until Sunday.

The weather agency predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rainfall on Saturday 4th October through the following districts:
Wind speed is expected to be 30-40 kilometers per hour in these districts.
For Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia, IMD released a yellow warning for two days – Saturday and Sunday.
Expected impact:
According to the Met Department, the storm warning may have the following impact in the above districts:
• Lightning option into the ground to isolated areas.
• Fall of weak trees or weak structures due to impact winds.
• Located and short -term disturbance of power.
• Damage to crops due to lack of precipitation.
• Strong wind/hail can damage plantation, gardening and standing crops.
• Minor damage to the houses/walls and cabins.
IMD recommends working in open areas and fields during thunderstorms and it is recommended not to detract from hiding under tall trees or structures. It is also recommended to disconnect all electronic appliances and maintain them from objects that perform electricity.
The Office for the weather office warned fishermen not to break into the Northwest Arab Sea, neighboring areas of the Northeast Arab Sea, the Central Arab Sea and along and off the coast of Gujarat-North Maharashtra until Tuesday.
About the cyclone Shakhti
Cyclone Shakhti is the first cyclonic storm of the post-monzuno season in the Arabian sea that spews around the sea, packing wind speed of 100 km / h, the officials said.
Shakhti, who intensified on a heavy cyclonic storm, moved further to the Arabian Sea and lay about 420 km from Dwar in Gujarat, the weather office said.
