Power Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar alerted power company officials about the likely impact of Cyclone Ditwah on coastal areas and the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.
In a teleconference with the officials on Sunday, Mr. Ravi Kumar directed that the field staff be made available at all times and take all precautionary measures to avoid disruption of power supply.
The minister also directed them to ensure immediate restoration of electricity in case of blackouts in the affected areas and called for constant updates to address the situation.
