PARVATIPURAM:
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra on Thursday lauded the effective disaster management measures taken by the Chandrababu Naidu-led government, which he said minimized the damage caused by Cyclone Montha.
He distributed essential commodities to the villagers of Vantaram and Nukalavada villages in Balajipeta mandal, which was one of the worst affected areas. Speaking on the occasion, he said that people were satisfied with the efforts of the government during the last five days in the state. “Fortunately, there were no human casualties as people from low-lying areas were moved to safe places as part of the government’s precautionary measures.”
He praised the officials of Parvatipuram-Manyam district for perfect implementation of the government instructions. “The opposition is unable to find fault with the rescue operations as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has effectively prepared the administration for a quick response,” said Mr. Vijaya Chandra.
