Cyberabad Traffic Police recommends staggered logout to IT firms

The Cyberabad Traffic Police on Monday (July 27, 2026) afternoon appealed to IT companies and other organizations operating within the Commissionerate limits to consider allowing employees to leave work early and gradually to minimize travel risks and ease traffic congestion when adverse weather conditions are forecast.
In a notice issued this afternoon, the police said the staggered early sign-off will help reduce pressure on the road network, facilitate smoother traffic movement and support uninterrupted operation of essential services during the ongoing rains.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I) asked the companies opting for early check-out to inform the police in advance about the location of their offices and the proposed timing.
The police said the information will enable it to deploy personnel and take appropriate traffic management measures to ensure smoother movement of vehicles around major IT corridors and business centers.
The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad Center issued a weather update at 3:47 PM on Monday and predicted light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with maximum wind speed reaching up to 40 kmph as very likely at isolated places over the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area during the next two to three hours.
Till 5 pm, 20.3 mm of rainfall was recorded at Uppal, 18.8 mm at Thatiananram of Abdullapurmet and 4.8 mm at ESS DP Pally, Dundigal, according to weather observations by the Telangana Development Planning Society.
