Cyberabad SHE teams conduct 127 decoy operations, 31 booked petty cases

Cyberabad Police’s SHE teams conducted 127 sting operations between July 10 and July 17, leading to the arrest of 20 persons caught red-handed allegedly indulging in indecent acts in public places. During the week, SHE teams booked 31 petty cases and counseled the remaining offenders as part of their preventive enforcement measures.

The SHE teams also received 32 complaints from women through various channels during the period under review. Complaints were received for appropriate action and support.

As part of the statewide operation Muskaan, the Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 35 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labor Acts across Cyberabad Commissionerate limits. The operation resulted in the rescue of 190 children, including 185 boys and five girls, from situations involving child labor and other forms of exploitation.

The Women and Child Safety Wing also continued its family counseling initiatives during the week. Through family counseling and Centers for Domestic and Emotional Wellbeing (CDEW), officials facilitated reconciliation efforts in 33 marital disputes and helped reunite couples with their families.

Apart from enforcement, AHTU and SHE teams conducted awareness programs in different parts of Cyberabad. Around 4,503 people attended these sessions which focused on topics like human trafficking, child trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriage, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying and cyber fraud.
