The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate launched the e-Office system on Monday, marking a move towards a paperless work culture and digital management in the police force.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh launched the system in the Commissioner’s office chamber in the presence of DCP Crimes Muthyama Reddy and DCP Cyber Crimes YVS Sudheendra.
Officials said the move aims to streamline file processing, improve accountability and reduce delays in decision-making.
The e-Office platform is a digital workflow-based system designed to replicate the traditional file transfer process while introducing automation and efficiency. It includes the registration of incoming files, the creation of files, the movement of receipts and files, and the archiving of records. The system enables real-time file tracking, strengthens accountability, ensures data security and integrity, and enables anytime, anywhere access.
Officials said the platform will help standardize procedures, reduce turnaround time and improve resource management, while promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments.
The launch is in line with the Telangana government’s directive to all state offices to adopt the e-Office system as part of its drive for paperless governance and better administrative efficiency. Developed under the National e-Governance Plan, the platform supports electronic file movement, workflow automation, document tracking and secure digital storage to ensure transparency and responsiveness.
Officials said training and technical support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition to the new system across departments.
