The preventive wing of the customs customs offices was on Tuesday (September 23, 2025) performing national raids in the residence and premises of individuals with a high value in Kerala, including important actors and industrialists.
The operation is called Numkhor, which in Bhutan means a “vehicle”.
The customs solution is monitored by alleged illegal imports of second -hand vehicles from Bhutan. Then the agency embarked on a national air raid, which takes place in 30 locations, including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kuttippuram and Thrissur.
Customs officials examined the houses of actors Dulquer Salmaan and Prithviuranu Vukumaran in Kochi.
“The Indian law prohibits second -hand imports. We have identified illegal imports includes 10 to 15 violations, including counterfeits on the Parivahan website of the department of motor vehicles and on our website,” the customs sources said.
None of the participating vehicles is made in India. It is assumed that new vehicles have been illegally imported as used vehicles through Bhutan. Vehicles that have been found to be illegally imported would be confiscated. Owners who are unable to submit relevant documents will face repressive measures, they said.
