On Saturday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah chaired a high -level meeting with all higher police officers and ordered them to reduce disinformation campaign and false news on social media platforms.
The meeting took place in the light of tension between India and Pakistan after a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He reviewed safety throughout the state and decided to tighten safety in important places in national importance, public places, power plants and coastal regions.
At a meeting attended by Minister of the Interior G. Parameshware, IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge and head Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, the main minister ordered officials to regularly check the news and take strict steps against people who were spreading false news on various media channels.
In the video conference with police commissioners, SP and state officers, the main minister said that the highest priority should be to maintain the right and constantly and ensure people’s security.
