Sheshanath Vishwanath Bhosale, UGC-Professor Organic Chemistry at the Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi, was named among 2% of organic chemistry scientists, as Stanford University, USA and Elsevier.
It’s been sixth in a row, which prof. Bhosale performed in a prestigious global ranking that recognizes scientists for their lifelong research impact on the basis of key indicators such as publications, citations, H-index and composite scores.
The Central University of Karnataka described this as “a matter of great pride” that one of its members of the faculty continues to be recognized internationally for the perfection of research.
“It is a remarkable success that brings fame to the university and will motivate other scientists to focus high,” said Sugar Vice -President prof. Battu Satyanarayana, congratulations to prof. Bhosale. Registrar Prof. RR Biradar has also expanded his best wishes for success.
Prof. Bhosale, who joined the School of Chemical Sciences in March 2023, is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), a member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and a member of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences.
He acquired his Ph.D. From Freie University in Berlin in Germany and completed post -doctoral research at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He then worked at the Monash University and Rmit University in Melbourne, Australia, under prestigious Australian Research Council scholarships before he worked as a professor of UGC-FRP at GoA University.
Prolific researcher, prof. Bhosale, published more than 300 reviewed posts in leading international magazines, gained more than 10,000 citations and achieved H-index 45. He also wrote 15 chapters of books, modified one volume and supervised 15 Ph.D. Scholars.
Prof. Bhosale serves in the editorial boards of renowned magazines such as natural scientific reports, chemicals (Wiley-VCH) and aggregates (Wiley-VCH), except for several MDPI publications. He is also a reviewer for more than 50 international magazines.
His research primarily focuses on the design and synthesis of small organic molecules with applications in nanomato, supramolecular chemistry, sensors, lipid chemistry, artificial photosynthesis, supercapacitors and organic solar cells.
